An illustrated talk by Robin Heath
For almost a century, the Preseli Mountains have been linked with Stonehenge, Britain’s national temple.
This connection has most recently been reduced to focussing on how the Preseli bluestones arrived at Stonehenge – by human toil or by the action of glaciers.
Meanwhile, a more important question is almost totally ignored: why did these Preseli stones form a major component incorporated into all phases of the building of Stonehenge?
In this illustrated lecture Robin will present an objective answer to this ‘other’ question and will demonstrate previously unrecognised cultural links between these two locations. This will restore a lost legacy from Stone Age Britain, and reveal something of the Stone Age mindset.
The implications will blow your socks off.
