October 12th saw the launch of ‘The Great Outdoors 2012’ - Wales’ first National Conference for Outdoor Performance presented by Articulture Wales and supported by Arts Council Wales, Independent Street Arts Network, National Theatre Wales, Small World Theatre, Walk The Plank, Citrus Arts, Emergency Exit Arts, and NoFitState Circus.

Small World Theatre presented ‘Lament’ a brilliant and haunting moving image piece by artist filmmaker Sean Vicary. ‘Lament’ interweaves animation, poetry and music to explore a personal narrative and examine ideas of loss, longing and belonging in the Welsh border landscape.
