Discovering the Creative Self

30th November 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:30 pm

For the LGBTQ+ community
Are you a member of the LGBTQ+ community? Do you have a desire to express yourself creatively? Join writer and performer Kerry Steed and designer Di Ford in a unique day of workshops designed to free up your creativity.

Explore imaginative routes to ‘be-friend’ your creative self: experiment with playful wordy ways and reflective writing techniques; design and dress your creative character using a 12” mannequin and colourful fabrics; in a gentle, introductory voice workshop discover how your creative voice can sound. Throughout the day there will be invitation to share individual stories in a safe space. Expect to laugh, be moved and make friends. Take away your mannequin and a journal. The day will culminate in a sharing of creative output open to friends and family. Suitable for curious creative beginners and those already on their creative journey.

Ages 18+
