Want to get involved in our projects and events at Small World Theatre?

Meet people, contribute your ideas, skills and enthusiasm. Enjoy our arts programme and projects working within a small, dedicated team of artists and performers.

Thank you very much for considering volunteering with Small World Theatre. Volunteers are so important to us! Here's a list of opportunities and tasks we need help with.

Basic training, briefing and on the day guidance is provided for all roles.

Front of House at Live Events in Small World Theatre, Cardigan.

Door - greeting our audiences warmly, taking payments (cash & card) using an i-pad and checking off tickets against a Door List.

Bar - greeting the audience, taking payments (cash & card) using an i-pad to register sales. Serving and mixing drinks and feeling confident to check the customer is over 18. Glass collection and recycling cans and bottles.

On location.

Stewarding - working within a team with full work and safety brief given. Most commonly assisting with our lantern parades or events where we take our Giant Puppets into towns etc. Being friendly and firm.

Fire Marshall - working within a team with full work and safety brief given. Keeping the general public safe and away from restricted areas. Being friendly and firm.

Bucket collection - working within a team, following bucket collection guidance.

Creative supporting roles.

Assisting Small World Theatre artists and facilitators with running creative workshops for the public. N.B. a DBS check is sometimes required.

We also may need volunteers to help our creative team when working on large making projects.

Small World Theatre operates an inclusivity policy and we want to be inclusive to everyone that would like to volunteer with us.
